The largest U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) training, trade show, and peer event of the year will be conducted in Cleveland, Ohio later this summer. This event includes a wide range of learning and networking opportunities across an array of Energy Saving Companies (ESCOs) and thought leaders from federal, private, education, and state and local government sectors.

Erik Larson was asked to present HVAC Armor’s coil cleaning/coating and refrigeration system optimization methodology during a technical training session at the summit. Erik will provide anecdotal findings on the state of deterioration of existing HVAC units, as well as present documented savings on past projects and the Measurements & Verifications (M&V) methods used.

“This is a great opportunity to talk about package roof-tops units, and how they may be the last frontier for true low-hanging fruit in the energy reduction arena” stated Erik.

Erik will join instructor Tom Lowery, Energy Program Director of Wood PLC, and Chris Cook of Advantek Inc. during the session. “Tom Lowery, Chris Cook, and I have all performed a wide-range of renewable energy and energy conservation projects for the Department of Defense, U.S. Postal Service, and many other federal entities” added Erik. “Both of them have many years of experience in the energy-saving industry and we all look forward to the event.”

The event will take place August 21-23 at the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The official website states that more than 3,000 thought leaders are expected to convene to accelerate the adoption of energy and water efficiency, integrated resilience, emerging and secure technologies, and replicable renewable energy solutions.
